Wear OS 5.1 is the next-generation operating system for Android-based smartwatches. The system is built on Android 15 and focuses on two main features: playing media directly to the watch's speakers and making it easier for users to log in to multiple accounts. The latest, after months of testing – Google is ready to distribute a stable update for it.
So far, only the Pixel Watch 1, Pixel Watch 2 and Pixel Watch 3 have been confirmed to receive the Wear OS 5.1 update. New health and fitness monitoring features are also included, making using the watch more useful for users. Unfortunately, Google and Samsung have not revealed when the One UI Watch will be updated with this feature.
Google stated that this update has already been distributed and the next update will be in June. As of today, consistent new Wear OS updates are limited to the Samsung Galaxy Watch and Pixel Watch only.
