Amazon AWS Is Developing an AI-Powered Programming Offering

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is reportedly developing its own artificial intelligence-powered programming offering. With this move, it will also offer an alternative to other software currently on the market, including GitHub CoPilot, Windsurf and Cursor.

According to reports, the software being developed is said to be able to use existing data to generate code, and also connect it to other AI agents. This offering is known as the code name “Kiro”, and can also produce technical documents, optimize code, and so on.

This may also be AWS’s move to ensure that users continue to use their services, including continuing to develop new products using their cloud services.

For now, it is targeted that Amazon may launch Kiro around the end of June.
