Bank Rakyat and Mastercard have collaborated to introduce Touch Card, a bank card with a special curved design that allows visually impaired users to recognize their card by touch. This initiative is an effort by both parties to provide better financial services to ensure easier access for all users.
This Touch Card is made in three specific designs, namely round for debit cards, square for credit cards and triangular for prepaid cards. With this design, users can recognize their cards without relying on vision, thus providing more convenience in their financial affairs.
In addition, Bank Rakyat is also collaborating with the Malaysian Islamic Visually Impaired Association (PERTIS) to ensure that this initiative truly benefits the needy. As part of this effort, the first 30 Touch Card holders will receive an incentive of RM200 via Bank Rakyat Debit Card-i for a limited time.
Bank Rakyat is said to be the first bank in Malaysia to offer this feature, in line with Mastercard's commitment to providing a more accessible payment experience worldwide.
