Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile Will No Longer Be Supported by Activision Starting Today

Less than a year after its launch on mobile devices, the Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile app is no longer available for new players to download via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store today after Activision ended its support. The move to end COD: Warzone Mobile came after the game failed to meet the targets set by Activision when compared to the console and PC versions.

Players who have already installed the app will be able to continue enjoying the game until browser support ends on an unannounced date. Only those who have previously downloaded Warzone Mobile will be able to download the game after this.

Purchases of Call of Duty Points and Black Cell have also been discontinued since yesterday. Meanwhile, no new season updates will be given. Any in-game credits must be redeemed but refunds will not be given. In other words, Warzone Mobile is now waiting for its time to be shut down in the near future.

This is certainly a surprising decision because in Activision's financial reports a few years ago, they targeted Warzone Mobile to be the main focus with Call of Duty: Mobile to be phased out. As a COD: Mobile fan, I can say that the game's unresolved issues since launch, the boring modes, and COD: Mobile's more device-friendly lack of power make me uninterested in Warzone Mobile.
