Google is ready to integrate several popular features from other Android manufacturers directly into the main Android operating system, allowing more people to enjoy the feature. Most recently, through the latest Android 16 development version, Google is seen developing a special feature in the form of a desktop mode when the phone is connected to a monitor panel.
With this step, the device becomes the main core, and allows users to easily perform tasks on a large screen – with an interface parallel to other computer operating systems. This feature is seen to be more or less the same as the DeX desktop mode feature offered by Samsung through several of their Android devices. Through AndroidAuthority, in the latest Android 16 development version, Google includes support for this, where when users connect the device to a monitor panel via a USB-C connection, it allows users to access the desktop mode.
At the moment, it is unknown whether Google will officially introduce this feature through Android 16, or will postpone it for a future version. For you, would you use this feature if it were offered through your device?
