A few weeks ago, we reported that pre-orders for Honda's first electric car, the Honda e:N1, were now open, with its local launch coming soon.
Today, we have been given confirmation that the local launch for the Honda e:N1 will be held on May 15, 2025.
The Honda e:N1 is an electric car built on the e:N Architecture F platform and looks almost like an H-RV with the same design visible from the rear door handles, all the way to the interior. It has an electric motor that can deliver a maximum power of 150kW and a maximum torque of 310Nm, allowing for a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 7.7 seconds with a top speed of 160 km/h.
In terms of charging, the Honda e:N1 sold in Indonesia has a range of up to 500km NEDC from a 68.8 kWh battery. However, it only supports 78 kW DC charging, making the charging time from 10% to 80% in 45 minutes. However, it is different for AC, where 11kW charging requires around 6 hours for a full charge.
It is expected that Honda Malaysia will also reveal the sales date and price of the Honda e:N1 electric car at the launch event.
