MAS Changes Flight Route, Batik Air Cancels Flights to India and Pakistan



Following the ongoing fighting between India and Pakistan, local airlines Malaysia Airlines and Batik Air today reported the cancellation of flights to the country for the foreseeable future.


Sri Guru Ram Dass Jeedi International Airport in Amritsar, India has announced its closure starting today, May 7, 2025 until May 9, 2025 for the time being due to the fighting between the Indian and Pakistani troops.


Two Malaysia Airlines flights, MH2 from Kuala Lumpur to London Heathrow, UK and MH22 from Kuala Lumpur to Charles de Gaul, France have been diverted to fly to Doha, Qatar for aircraft refueling before continuing to their respective destinations.


Meanwhile, Batik Air has also announced the cancellation of several flights to Amritsar, India and Lahore, Pakistan today, August 7 and tomorrow, August 8, 2025 due to this incident.
