Mozilla today unexpectedly announced that it will end Pocket service on July 8, 2025. Pocket is a service that allows you to save links, and then read them later or refer to them easily.
Mozilla previously acquired Pocket in 2017. Mozilla says that users have saved millions of articles through Pocket, but the way people use and browse the web has changed recently.
With this termination, Mozilla is expected to focus more on developing their Firefox web browser. Existing Pocket users can export your saves before October 8, 2025.
