Xiaomi to Use 3nm Architecture on XRING 01 Chip – Will Power New Tablets and Smartphones

Xiaomi today shared that its own processor chip, the XRING 01, will use 3nm architecture. Xiaomi is scheduled to officially introduce its processor chip this week, along with the launch of a number of other products.

Xiaomi has previously developed mid-range chips. However, it did not develop it to the next version. Instead, Xiaomi chose to develop chips for imaging, power management, and so on. Now, after several years, Xiaomi is finally back with a full-fledged chip development, and will introduce it this week.

This chip will also power the upcoming Xiaomi 15S Pro smartphone, in addition to the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra tablet.

Currently, only a few companies have released chips with 3nm architecture, including Apple, Qualcomm, and MediaTek. Xiaomi's introduction of the 3nm chip simultaneously positions them as among the investors in high-end semiconductor development in China, and shows Xiaomi's efforts to rely entirely on their development rather than having to use third-party products.

As usual, let's all look forward to this Thursday for the official launch of Xiaomi's latest processing chip.
