16 Billion Data Leaked Last Week Is Not New Data

Last week, the world was shocked by the report that more than 16 billion user data had been leaked to the web arena, making it the largest information leak in world history. But the site Bleeping Computer now says that this huge amount of leaked data is not actually new data stolen by hackers.

On the contrary, it is most likely just a database collected by cybersecurity researchers for all data leak cases that have occurred before. However, there is still a risk that users' personal data is in danger because this large database can be used by infostealer malware that uses it to break into the accounts contained.

People are still advised to always change their passwords or use a password management service to prevent their accounts from being accessed without authorization.
