Baidu Wants to Expand Robotexy Service to Malaysia – Driverless Self-Driving Taxis



Baidu, one of the giant companies from China, is now reportedly planning to expand their robotexy or self-driving taxi service to the Malaysian market, as early as this year


Named Apollo Go, it is said that Baidu has begun discussions with several partners to offer the service in the Malaysian market.


So far, they have around 1000 self-driving cars that are actively used. Various technology companies are now competing in offering their respective robotexy services. For your information, Google already has Waymo service in several cities in the United States, in addition to Tesla which is also looking to launch their Cybercab service.


Baidu wants to collaborate with existing taxi service providers, in an effort to simplify and speed up the introduction process, in addition to reducing the asset requirements from Baidu.
