If you are a PC builder, or interested in the field of computer components, you must know the Colorful brand as one of the partners in building motherboard components and graphics cards. But did you know that they also make products such as desktop computers and laptops?
Their latest offering in the computer segment is called Colorful Smart 900, which is a compact computer powered by one of AMD's most powerful APU processing chips, namely the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395.
The chassis of this computer is made of aluminum metal and comes in at around 4 liters. It is compact enough for a small desktop computer, but may be larger than computers like the Intel NUC. However, it should also be noted that this desktop computer requires a good cooling system to ensure that the APU components operate at optimal levels.
For details on AMD's latest APU, it is equipped with 16 physical cores with 32 power threads and can be overclocked up to 5.1GHz, and is housed together with the AMD Radeon 8060S graphics processing chip that uses the RDNA 3.5 graphics chip architecture.
In terms of memory and storage, it is reported that this PC supports up to 128GB of LPDDR5 memory and has storage space for two M.2 storage that supports PCIe 4.0 data transfer technology. Another unique feature of this computer is that it comes with a card reader that supports SD 4.0 or UHS-II cards with a data read rate of 312MB/s and a data write rate of 156MB/s.
Other ports include two USB 3.2 ports and one USB4 port on the front, while the back houses additional USB 3.2 Type-C and USB4 ports, along with HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 video output ports. In terms of wireless connectivity, this computer supports Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi 7.
For now, although Colorful has revealed details about their latest desktop computer, the release date and price have not yet been revealed. Colorful will reportedly sell this computer globally when it launches, so we may find out those details soon.
