Once friends, now fighting like Tuah and Jebat. Welcome to the world of Elon Musk and Donald Trump who began arguing two days ago for reasons that are still unclear. A few weeks ago Musk announced that he would withdraw from President Trump's administration.
Early this morning, the two began a cyber war on X and Truth Social. Trump threatened to cancel contracts and subsidies received by Elon's company to save billions in the national budget. Musk immediately issued a retaliatory tweet saying that SpaceX will begin decommissioning the Dragon capsules that NASA uses to send astronauts and cargo to the International Space Station (ISS).
If SpaceX really decommissions the Dragon and Crew Dragon capsules, NASA will not have the ability to launch their missions from domestically. From now on, crew and cargo can only be sent using Soyuz capsules and launched by Russia. This is not helped by the Boeing Starliner program which was supposed to be NASA's backup transportation mode, which caused two astronauts to be stranded on the ISS for 278 days.
The social media war between the US President and the world's richest man began three days ago after Musk said the bill Trump was trying to pass was a waste of money, a stance he held while still in office.
