Meta is now announcing some changes to how videos will be managed on their platform. Starting with this, Facebook will be rebranding the existing Video tab on their app and web, as the Reels tab.
In line with this change, all video uploads will be categorized as Reels – without restrictions on video format, video duration and others. With this move, users will no longer have to worry about which section to upload to, and manage it with just one easy upload.
This move is seen to be taken in line with Reels’ improved algorithm for content discovery, and also the time spent by many through Reels is longer and higher.
This change is expected to be introduced in stages in the coming months.
