Google Will End Support for “Instant Apps” on Android by the End of 2025

Google is now seen to be ending one of the features on Android, namely Instant Apps support. Through the feature that was introduced in 2017, it allows developers to provide a simplified version of their applications, allowing users to try them without having to install the application first.

This step also makes it easier for users to find out about the application’s offerings, before choosing to install it. Google is seen to be ending support for it because not many people use it, or not many application developers implement the support.

In Malaysia, one of the applications that we noticed using Instant Apps support is Sinar Harian. When users who do not have the Sinar Harian application click on the Sinar Harian news link, you will be shown a pop-up to try Instant Apps. Apart from Sinar Harian, we do not seem to have found any other applications implementing it.
