iOS 26 Shows Battery Charge Times to 80% and 100%

Don't you hate waiting for your phone's battery to charge to 100%? If you nodded like a Thinker, iOS 26 brings a new feature that solves two problems at once. When charging an iPhone, the time it takes to charge to 80% and 100% is now displayed in the Battery settings. We noticed this feature after updating to the iOS 26 Developer Beta this morning.

The estimate is given in minutes and interestingly here is that iOS 26 is the first operating system to offer an estimate to 80%. Why 80% you might be asking and the answer is that this is the fast charging limit. After 80%, charging will slow down to preserve the long-term life of the battery. It also provides the fastest estimate of the battery enough to use for most of the day.

What we find a little disappointing is that the estimated charging time can only be seen in your Battery menu and not on the lock screen or Dynamic Island. It is hoped that in the final version of iOS 26, these two features will be provided as they have already become standard on Android devices.
