AMD Introduces Two More New CPUs Under the Ryzen Z2 Model



Earlier this year, AMD introduced the AMD Ryzen Z2 processor series, which comes with two processor models, namely the AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme which is seen powering the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X gaming consoles and the AMD Ryzen Z2 Go which powers the Lenovo Legion Go S gaming console.


Recently, AMD has shown two new processor models in this series, namely the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme and the AMD Ryzen Z2 A. The first chip can be seen as an AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme chip with a built-in NPU chip that comes with an AI processing power of 50 AI TOPS and surpasses Microsoft Copilot+ standards.


The AMD Ryzen Z2 A is a processor chip placed below the AMD Ryzen Z2 Go, and comes with four AMD ZEN 2 cores, the use of an AMD RDNA 2 graphics chip with 8 built-in cores and has a power consumption range of 6-20W, which is currently seen as the most basic chip for mobile consoles.


In addition to these details, AMD also confirmed that the new chips will come with support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution and AMD HYPR-RX resolution and frame rate enhancement features.


AMD has not announced any products that will use these processors, nor a general launch date for these products. It is expected that AMD will reveal more details about them in the future.
