Jovi Is Just a Rebranding of Vivo in the Brazilian Market

Previously, Jovi was said to be a new sub-brand of vivo. However, it is not a real sub-brand, instead Vivo has rebranded their products specifically for the Brazilian market. This was done due to a trademark dispute with Telefonica Brasil, the owner of the ‘vivo’ brand in the country.

Now vivo has introduced the first two smartphones under the Jovi brand in Brazil, the Jovi V50 5G and Jovi V50 Lite 5G. Both models are actually versions of the V50 and V50 Lite sold in other markets. In terms of specifications, the Jovi smartphone offers the same features as the vivo models sold outside Brazil. The only difference lies in the branding.

The Jovi V50 5G is a phone with a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, peak brightness and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. It is also powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip and a 6000mAh battery with 90W fast charging.

The phone also comes with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The front camera is 50MP while the rear has a 50MP main camera with OIS, 50MP ultra-wide, and Aura LED light. It runs the Android 15 operating system with the FunTouch OS 15 interface.

The Jovi V50 Lite 5G has a 6.77 AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 800 nits peak brightness. The phone is powered by the Dimensity 6300 chip, with 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage, and a 6,500mAh battery that supports 90W charging. For cameras, it has a 32MP front camera, while on the back there is a 50MP main camera and 8MP ultra-wide.
