Latest COVID-19 Vaccine Offered at Malaysian Health Clinics

COVID-19 cases appear to have started to increase in several countries around the world, with the closest being Singapore and Thailand, in addition to Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and others.

The Ministry of Health's communications department has responded to a question from an X/Twitter user whether they are still supplying the COVID-19 vaccine to the public. @KKMComms replied that yes, the Ministry of Health continues to supply the COVID-19 vaccine to Malaysians who need it.

They also said that the vaccine supplied to health clinics is the latest variant produced by Pfizer, and not old stock, and is effective against the new type of COVID-19 virus.

This was reposted by Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Haji Dzulkefly Ahmad, and means that you can now use the MySejahtera app to book a vaccination session at health clinics near you that offer this vaccine.

Recently, the Malaysian Ministry of Health has also issued a statement on the increase in COVID-19 infections in other countries caused by a new virus variant called Nimbus, which has not yet been detected in Malaysia. According to the report, a total of 11,727 COVID-19 cases have been reported during the first to 19th week of this year (10 May 2025).

As a precautionary measure, the public is advised to wear a face mask, especially if you are susceptible to any disease when in public.
