After being delayed for a long time, one of the artificial intelligence features introduced by Microsoft through their Windows 11 operating system, namely Microsoft Recall, has finally been officially introduced.
Through the latest update of the operating system, Microsoft Recall has finally arrived for all users of the operating system, as long as they use a computer that comes with CoPilot+ PC certification, such as laptops powered by the latest AMD Ryzen AI, Intel Lunar Lake and Qualcomm Snapdragon X processing chips.
After you update the Windows 11 operating system version to the latest version (April Update), when you turn on the computer, this menu will come out to ask for permission to activate the feature. You are given the option to use it or not, and it will not be activated if you do not allow it.
The Microsoft Recall feature will take screenshots of all activities on your computer, and save them to allow you to track back those activities through text and image searches.
Many Windows users have had issues with the Recall feature, worried about the personal details that Microsoft would record, especially when it was previously announced that the screenshots would be stored in the cloud.
Since then, Microsoft has delayed its launch, and has made a number of changes, such as storing the screenshots on the user's computer and not using cloud storage.
Recall was later introduced to Windows Insider Program testers, and now, with the latest April Update, it has been officially launched. The update is being rolled out in a phased manner, and now it seems to be rolling out to more Windows 11 users.
