Microsoft today introduced the latest version of the Windows 11 operating system for its Insider program, namely Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26120.4250 (KB5060820). For those who download this version, it will come with a big and quite interesting update.
It is an update to the Start Menu feature, which now comes with a completely new design, and a neater arrangement of icons, and now, the main menu can be scrolled, and will give users the choice of how they want to arrange the menu icons.
Windows Insider testers can now choose to organize their icons by category, or alphabetically. The arrangement in category mode will be done automatically, where a new category will only be created when there are at least three applications or software in the same category. Otherwise, it will only be shown in the Others folder.
Alphabetical arrangement, as usual, will show the arrangement of software icons in alphabetical order, as expected.
Microsoft also said that they will allow users to choose the size of the Start Menu based on the size of the user's screen. This resizing will be done automatically, and the larger your screen, the more software icons can be displayed on one line.
