The sleep apnea detection feature on the Samsung Galaxy Watch was expanded to 36 more countries today, bringing the total number of countries supported to 70. The bad news for readers in Malaysia is that the feature has not yet been activated in our country.
Sleep apnea detection is supported on Galaxy Watch4 and above that use at least Wear OS 5.0. But it can only be used if the smartwatch is connected to a Samsung smartphone that uses Android 12 and above.
Sleep apnea tracking has been available on Apple Watch in Malaysia since January this year. Hopefully, Samsung Malaysia can get KKM approval soon because in the Asian region, this feature can already be enjoyed by Galaxy Watch users in neighboring countries such as the Philippines, Singapore, and Vietnam.
