Nintendo today finally launched the Nintendo Switch 2 console in the United States, China, Japan, Canada, South Korea and the UK yesterday. This portable console is highly anticipated after more than eight years since the original Switch was launched.
The Nintendo Switch 2 comes with a 7.9″ LCD screen with 1080p 120Hz resolution, powered by a special NVIDIA chip that supports DLSS and Ray Tracing, 256GB of storage, and a dock that can increase the display to 4K resolution when connected to a TV. Another improvement is the Joy Con that connects using magnets and can be used like a mouse.
In Southeast Asia, the Switch 2 will go on sale in Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines only on June 26. Fans in Malaysia will have to be patient as Nintendo is targeting sales between July and September with the console having been tested by SIRIM to pass several local safety standards.
