Shopee is now informing sellers on the Shopee platform, of the introduction of a new charge, called the Platform Support Fee. This additional charge is said to help Shopee continue to develop a number of new features that help sellers on the platform.
Under this Platform Support Fee, sellers will be charged 50 sen for every successfully shipped purchase. This charge does not include the 8% SST charge. Shopee will automatically deduct this charge from the sales proceeds, before the balance is transferred to the seller's account. The introduction of this charge is expected to have an impact on sellers selling low-priced items, as the 50 sen charge will have a high impact on their income.
This charge will be applied to all successful orders starting July 16, 2025. However, orders under the “Fullfilled by Shopee Program” will be exempted from this charge for the time being. Shopee will also waive this charge for new sellers for 120 days or for the first 100 orders.
