Oppo has once again stolen the spotlight with the launch of their latest device, the Reno14 Pro, which will soon arrive in the Malaysian market. Continuing the tradition of elegant design like its previous models, this device combines modern elements and the latest technology, making it a balanced choice between function and style.
In this article, we will only share external information while all other details including real-world performance will be shared in a future review article.
What's in the Box?
The device box is seen to still maintain the design identity of the series with a glossy gray color and large branding on the front. Inside, users will find the phone itself, a USB-A to USB-C charging cable, a charging head, a clear frame, a SIM ejector, and a user manual. The layout is simple but practical, making it easy for users to start using the device right away.
Device Design
One of the most prominent features of the Reno14 Pro is its mermaid-tail-inspired back finish. If previously the butterfly motif was the choice, now Oppo has chosen a mermaid theme that is synonymous with the beauty in fairy tales.
This design is known as the Iridescent Mermaid Design which emits a rainbow sparkle when exposed to light. According to Oppo, in addition to attracting attention, it also highlights the spirit of the younger generation who appreciate the meaning of freedom, self-expression and uniqueness in a modern lifestyle.

Oppo chose white as the main color, matching the name of its variant, Opal White. This color features changing patterns of light and shadow, giving an interesting look depending on the angle of view. As an alternative, there is also a Titanium Gray option that comes with a dark gray tone and a neat modern touch.
Iridescent Mermaid Design
The Reno14 Pro camera module has also been redesigned with sparkling light effects around the lens to give a neater look. The layout of the Reno14 Pro camera module is almost the same as the previous Reno13 Pro model, with the addition of a small bump inside the large camera bump, as well as a slight change in the position of the LED Flash.
Camera Bump Device
At just 7.48 millimeters thick and weighing 201 grams, this phone can be considered one of the thinnest and lightest in its class. It is easy to grip and comfortable to use all day, despite its slightly larger size compared to its predecessor.
The front screen retains the hole-punch design in the center like its predecessor, with a user-friendly full display. The sides are rounded for comfort when held, while the thin bezels balanced on all four sides highlight a neat and balanced design
Device Front Screen
The Reno14 Pro's button layout remains the same, with the power button and audio controls on the right, while the left side is empty. On top are the infrared emitter and microphone, while below are the USB-C port, SIM slot and speaker.
All these components are neatly arranged and within easy reach. The absence of a 3.5mm audio jack is no longer surprising as it has been absent since the Reno5 model. However, the presence of an infrared emitter at the top still adds a useful additional function.
The Reno14 Pro comes with three waterproof and dustproof ratings of IP66, IP68 and IP69. This allows it to survive various situations such as water spills, falling into a pool, or being exposed to hot water pressure. The USB port is also plated with platinum to provide additional protection against corrosion. For security, the device supports an in-screen fingerprint scanner and facial recognition.
That's all we can share about the design aspect. Full details including the selling price will be announced later. We will also publish a full review to evaluate its performance in real-world use. As always, stay tuned for the latest updates.
