Vivo X Fold5 Will Come With Customizable Side Buttons

Vivo X Fold5 will be officially launched in China on June 25, 2025 and is expected to be offered in the global market as was done with the XFold 3 Pro model.

Among the interesting features that will be introduced is the Atomic Workbench function, a multitasking system that allows up to four background applications to be displayed in the form of cards alongside one main application. This feature resembles Apple Stage Manager and users can manage various tasks automatically according to the screen orientation, whether horizontal or vertical.

In addition, vivo will come with a configurable side button, a new feature that replaces the regular Alert slider button. This button allows users to set almost 12 different functions according to needs, such as opening specific applications, activating silent mode, or controlling the camera. This approach is in line with the latest trends in the industry such as the Action Button on the iPhone 15 Pro and a similar button on the OnePlus 13.

In terms of specifications, the X Fold5 is expected to come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, an AMOLED LTPO 8T display, as well as a ZEISS camera system using a Sony IMX921 sensor and a Sony IM882 periscope telephoto camera. It also supports 90W fast charging, 30W wireless charging and is equipped with a 6000mAh battery.

Most notably, the X Fold 5 is expected to be the first Android phone to support Apple Watch integration. According to vivo, users can not only receive calls and messages but also synchronize health data from the Apple Watch directly to the vivo Health app.
