Vivo has announced the arrival of its latest model, the Y29t 5G, for the local market. The device comes with almost the same specifications as the Y29 model launched a few months ago, but with a significant difference in the slightly smaller battery capacity of 6000mAh. Although it is now available in Malaysia, users are not yet able to physically buy it at this time.
Instead, it is only offered for free through U Mobile and CelcomDigi with the condition of being tied to a postpaid contract. The official website of the telecommunications company also lists the starting price of RM899 (128GB) and RM1,099 (256GB). However, it is still unclear when this device will be sold openly without any contract.
The Vivo 29t 5G comes with a 6.74-inch HD+ (1600 x 720) LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. This is paired with the Dimensity 6300 chip along with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The device's camera consists of 50MP + 0.08MP and a 5MP selfie.
The device is also equipped with a 6000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging. In addition, the device also offers 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and is equipped with a side fingerprint scanner.
