BMW iX xDrive60 M Sport Pro and xDrive45 Sport Launched With 701KM Range



It seems that with less than 6 months left in this year, we will see more electric car launches for the local market. Today, BMW Malaysia announced new models in their iX electric car series, namely the BMW iX xDrive60 M Sport Pro and the BMW iX xDrive45 Sport, which are electric cars in the SUV class that use front and rear electric drives.


As iX models, both of these electric cars will bring various updates in terms of specifications, performance and also finishes. Both models bring larger batteries, new updated designs for the exterior, including the iconic kidney grille from BMW that will now light up when the doors are opened and closed. In terms of the exterior, they are also distinguished with the iX xDrive60 having 22-inch rims while the iX xDrive45 has 21-inch rims. As for the interior, both models are equipped with a translucent roof, 18 Harman Kardon speakers, 500-liter storage space that can be expanded to 1,750 liters, and more.


For specifications and performance, the BMW iX xDrive45 Sport is capable of providing power as high as 300 kW (408 hp) and 700 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds, with a maximum speed of 200 km/h. With a battery of 100.6 kWh, it has a travel range of 602 KM WLTP and supports 175 kW DC fast charging. The BMW iX xDrive60 M Sport Pro has higher power, namely 400 kW ( 544 hp) and 765 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds with a maximum speed of 200 km/h. It has a larger battery of 111.5 kWh providing a range of up to 701 KM WLTP and has a DC fast charging of 195 kW and AC charging of 22 kW.


The BMW iX xDrive45 Sport electric car is offered at a price of RM RM 425,800 while the BMW iX xDrive60 M Sport Pro is offered at a price of RM 487,800. It also comes with a 6-year manufacturer's warranty with unlimited mileage, including maintenance services and an 8-year battery warranty. This also includes the BMW Roadside Assistance service which offers roadside assistance, towing, loaner cars and hotel accommodation in case of emergencies.


With the arrival of this new version of the BMW iX electric car, it also opens up interest to potential electric car buyers who want a longer range, since there are not many electric cars on the market that offer a range of up to 700KM WLTP.
