ChatGPT May Watermark Generated Images in the Future

ChatGPT has been seen introducing a number of new features recently, and is expected to introduce more soon. Interestingly, some who are testing the beta version of ChatGPT have discovered that OpenAI may be introducing a watermarking function on generated images.

Android Authority reports that the option to download ChatGPT-generated images can be downloaded without a watermark, which is seen as a possibility that OpenAI may be generating watermarks on AI-generated images soon.

The option is shown in the source code of the latest ChatGPT beta APK file, and indicates a high probability that images generated by free users will come with a ChatGPT watermark in the future.

The option to download generated images without a watermark may also be introduced to paid subscribers only, where the download feature without a watermark will be offered to paid users.

OpenAI and ChatGPT have yet to make any announcements about this functionality, so it is unknown if it is part of the features that will be introduced to the AI app in the future.
