Huawei is ready to develop its own programming language, called Cangjie. Now, in a move to further expand its reach and use, Huawei has announced that it will offer it in open source form by July 30, 2025.
By offering it in open source, developers around the world can access its source code, in addition to developing it together, and further expanding its use.
Cangjie is said to integrate built-in artificial intelligence support along with good security, making it suitable for the development of various cross-device applications. It can also be used for application development on HarmonyOS.
This move is also seen as one of the efforts of companies in China who want to move free from the grip of the United States, and develop their own technology offerings.
