NVIDIA's Consumer CPU Launch Delayed to Mid-2026

In the middle of this year, NVIDIA has stated their intention to enter the CPU market for consumer computers and technology developers using their own chip manufacturing know-how.

In fact, around this year's Computex event, NVIDIA has shown several products from Alienware, Acer, Lenovo and Dell to introduce new computers for the consumer market and AI technology developers.

Recently, it has been reported that NVIDIA will be forced to delay the launch of its consumer-class processor chips called NVIDIA N1 and N1X, due to physical defects shown in many of the CPUs. It is seen as serious enough, that it has been reported that the launch will have to be delayed until mid-2026 because it requires an update in terms of using new silicon.

NVIDIA was supposed to introduce the N1 and N1X processor chips at the Computex event earlier this year, but at that time, software issues caused them to delay the announcement of the CPUs.

The NVIDIA N1 and N1X CPUs are expected to launch in early 2026, along with computers powered by the NVIDIA GB10 processor chip that was also developed at the same time.

Speaking of which, the NVIDIA GB10 chip developed under Project DIGITS in collaboration with MediaTek that will power mini supercomputers for the purpose of developing AI technology is still ongoing, and is expected to launch early next year, through the aforementioned computer maker brands.
