Proton Introduces AI Chatbot With a Focus on Privacy – Named Lumo

Proton is no stranger to privacy-focused offerings. One of their popular services is an email service called Proton Mail. In addition, they also provide services such as VPN, password manager, storage space, and document services.

Further expanding their offerings with a focus on privacy, Proton is now introducing their own artificial intelligence-powered chatbot service, called Lumo.

Proton says that various internet giants are now focusing on developing products that collect user data for advertising and exploitation purposes. In line with this, Lumo was introduced to provide alternatives to users in various uses, including if they want to summarize a number of personal documents, ask health-related questions, and others.

Lumo is offered for free, and can be used without any account. Lumo will not store any conversation logs, no data sharing, and is not used to train their models. It was developed using an open source model, and says they are not working with any US or Chinese firms.

For those of you who are interested, you can access Lumo today. In addition to the web version, it is also offered on Android and iPhone.
