Retro 95 Is a Modern Gaming PC With a 90s Design

I grew up in the 90s and at that time PCs were a luxury item. The first time I owned my own PC was around 1998 and I spent hundreds of hours building my own website using MS FrontPage, learning to use Photoshop and enjoying the video game C&C Tiberian Sun. A lot of my teenage nostalgia happened while using a PC.

The Maingear Retro95 is a modern gaming PC that is clearly aimed at nostalgia enthusiasts. At first glance, it looks like an IBM PC from the 90s. But it is actually equipped with modern components such as the latest Intel or AMD chips, graphics cards up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080, memory up to 96GB DDR5 RAM, storage up to 8TB Gen4 NVMe SSD and a NOCTUA 850W power supply.

It may look like a desktop for the first Doom but it can play Doom: The Dark Ages on the highest settings. The Maingear Retro95 is sold in limited quantities with prices starting at $1,599 (~RM 6745) each. What is being sold is just the frame, not including the CRT, ball mouse, keyboard and a pair of analog speakers that pulse before a phone call is received on your Motorola phone.
