Smartphone Production Up 1% In Q2 2025 – Samsung, Apple and Xiaomi Top Three



IDC released its latest smartphone production report for Q2 2025 and it increased by 1% compared to the same quarter last year. A total of 295.2 million phones were produced in the quarter. Samsung is at the top with a 19.7% market share followed by Apple (15.7%), Xiaomi (14.4%), Vivo (9.2%) and Transsion (8.5%).

Samsung recorded the largest increase of 7.9% driven by sales of the Galaxy A series and S25 Edge launched last quarter. Vivo increased by 4.8% and then Apple also increased by 1.5%. Interestingly here is Transsion which produces Infinix, Tecno and Intel devices decreased by 1.7%. They are still among the five largest brands in the world able to beat Honor, Huawei, Realme and Oppo which have been operating for a long time.
