Threads is expanding its messaging functionality by testing a new feature support for GIF sharing in DM. After introducing the photo sharing function, this new feature is seen as another interesting alternative to convey messages and expressions better. It is expected to be available in the same space as photos, complete with sticker options and a search icon for easier access.
In addition, Threads is also testing a feature to recall sent messages similar to the function offered on Instagram. At the same time, the application is also developing group chat support in DM which makes it more in line with several other messaging applications owned by Meta. This update is expected to help increase the effectiveness of user interactions in Threads while strengthening its function as an increasingly relevant application.
