The Antigravity A1 drone was shown yesterday as the first drone with 8K 360-degree video recording capabilities in the world. Antigravity is a subsidiary of Insta360 and the parent company's camera technology is used in the A1 drone.
It is equipped with two cameras, one on top and one on the bottom of the drone's body. Insta360 technology is used to stitch together videos from both cameras into a single video with 8K resolution. What makes this drone unique is the combination of its headset and controller.
The Antigravity Vision goggles allow the drone operator to see the camera's view in 360 degrees. On the outside there is a secondary circular screen that allows people around to see what the operator is looking at.
The controller is not like a standard drone remote control. The Antigravity Grip is more like an airplane control stick with movements done with hand gestures. To fly up, raise the Grip up and to go left or right, rotate your wrist.
Antigravity has not yet revealed full specifications such as flight time, control distance and price, which will only be revealed when the Antigravity A1 drone is launched in January 2026.
