Apple Reportedly Wants to Use Google Gemini to Power New Siri

Apple is now reportedly in contact with Google, in developing a specific artificial intelligence model to power the new Siri, which is scheduled for introduction in 2026.

As many are aware, Apple is a little behind in the artificial intelligence arena compared to others. The planning of Apple Intelligence and the new Siri has also not gone smoothly as scheduled, making a number of previously announced features still not launched even though it has been over a year.

This makes Apple seem to be left out in the artificial intelligence arena, compared to other competitors. To this end, Apple is restructuring various things. According to reports, Apple will make the final decision on whether to use a self-developed model or a third-party model to power Siri.

Siri was previously only able to do a few basic things, even compared to Google Assistant. With the integration of artificial intelligence and the introduction of Google Gemini, it is further behind than others.

In addition to using the Google model, Apple is also said to have considered using the OpenAI or Anthropic model to power their new Siri.
