The value of the cryptocurrency Bitcoin hit $124,157 (~RM 521,149) this morning, its highest level in history. 2025 has been a rollercoaster year for the crypto market, with Bitcoin plummeting to around $86,000 in February before rebounding to $123,000 two weeks ago.
The increase in Bitcoin’s value today is due to the United States’ decision to support digital assets for retirement savings, signaling that the government is ready to fully support cryptocurrencies. Since April this year, Bitcoin’s value has increased by more than 30%. Although the all-time high was recorded a few hours ago, its value has now fallen back to around $122,000 at the time of writing.
