DJI has launched the DJI Mic 3, a lightweight wireless microphone with enhanced audio performance. It is specially designed in the DJI OsmoAudio ecosystem for users who value premium audio quality and smart experiences.
The DJI Mic 3 supports up to four transmitters and eight receivers simultaneously, making it ideal for group recordings and multi-camera productions.
It is the first microphone in the series to be equipped with Adaptive Gain Control, three tone settings, and two-stage active noise cancellation.
The transmitter weighs 16 grams and comes with a swivel and magnetic clip for flexible use. The charging case can store two transmitters and one receiver, as well as additional space for accessories.
In terms of audio, the DJI Mic 3 offers two Adaptive Gain Controls, namely Automatic Mode and Dynamic Mode, to adjust the sound level according to the environment.
It also comes with three tone settings such as Regular, Rich and Bright for more professional vocal tuning.
Active noise cancellation helps reduce background noise such as air conditioning, while Lossless Audio recording ensures that the sound quality remains clear.
It supports Quadraphonic Mode when used with select Sony cameras, allowing for recording of four separate audio tracks. In addition, it offers a connection range of up to 400 meters with automatic frequency switching between 2.4GHz and 5GHz for stable transmission. The built-in Timecode function ensures that audio and video move in sync without interruption.
The DJI Mic 3 can operate for up to 8 hours, the receiver for up to 10 hours and the charging box for up to 28 hours of use. The automatic power saving feature helps reduce the need for charging.
It can also be directly connected to Osmo devices such as the Osmo 360, Osmo Action 5 Pro, Osmo Action 4 and Osmo Pocket 3 without a receiver. Connection to smartphones is also supported via Bluetooth, TRS, TRRS and USB-C.
In Malaysia, the DJI Mic 3 is priced starting at RM879 for the base unit. For the complete set that comes with the charging box, the price increases to RM1,549.
