DuitNow QR to be Used at Over 100 Million Shops Worldwide

You will soon be able to make cashless payments using DuitNow at over 100 million shops and businesses worldwide that support AliPay+. The feature was enabled after Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd (PayNet) and Ant International expanded their collaboration through a memorandum of understanding signed today, witnessed by Bank Negara Governor Dato’ Sri Abdul Rasheed Ghaffour.

The collaboration between the two companies focuses on four key areas, namely driving tourism through cross-border digital payments, strengthening fraud defences, talent development, and advancing sustainability. The newly signed MoU is a milestone in enabling the acceptance of DuitNow payments worldwide.

Malaysian tourists abroad will soon be able to make payments by scanning DuitNow in their preferred digital wallet apps and personal banking apps. DuitNow is already supported in neighbouring Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Cambodia.
