Google Photos Photos Can Be Edited Using Voice Commands

Not everyone has the expertise to edit photos in Lightroom. Snapseed or Instagram. For those who don't have these skills, Google Photos' latest feature allows you to edit by simply talking to the app.

The "Edit by asking" feature was launched early this morning during the Google Pixel 10 series announcement. This new feature allows users to give common commands to make edits. Google Gemini is used to understand the commands given and then automatically edit.

Users can instruct glare or reflections to be removed, retouch old photos and remove elements in the background. Every photo edited with the AI feature will now be embedded with a C2PA (Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity) watermark that can be read directly from Photos. The Pixel 10 series is the first from Google to support the C2PA authenticity verification standard.

The standard is also supported by Adobe, Microsoft, Sony, Meta, BBC, ARM, Intel, TruPic and Twitter. It was established to develop industry standards for identifying and labeling content generated by generative AI.
