HASAN.VC, part of Ethis Group, has opened applications for the third cohort of its accelerator program designed to support the development of Halal startups across Southeast Asia. The program aims to help founders build businesses with an emphasis on innovation that has a positive impact on the regional community and economy.
The launch of this third cohort comes on the heels of the success of the previous two cohorts, which saw 71 startups participate, 20 of which successfully secured funding. HASAN.VC remains committed to building a comprehensive ecosystem by supporting Muslim and female founders in the technology sector. The program runs for five weeks online and is open to Halal-compliant startups.
Throughout the program, participants will receive up to US$60,000 (RM253,620) in equity funding, intensive mentoring from leading Muslim entrepreneurs and global industry experts, and access to over 500 investors. In addition, participants will also have the opportunity to receive government funding support to accelerate growth, as well as access to the Muslim market of over 60 million users through the HASAN.VC partner network.
The program not only provides capital but also builds an ecosystem that prioritizes founders based on shared values and real business support. The effectiveness of the program has been proven through previous cohorts where cohort 1 saw the participation of 42 applications while cohort 2 received 29 startups. Out of the total, 20 startups have successfully received funding, demonstrating a high success rate in the regional accelerator ecosystem.
Among the alumni who have shown high performance include Qara’a, an Islamic education technology platform, Synbiozymes, a research-based biotechnology startup; Reyhut Automation, a provider of industrial automation solutions, as well as GoBarakah, DashAdd and Fly0.
The program will conclude with a Demo Day where participants have the opportunity to present their ideas and business plans to investors, partners and industry experts. HASAN.VC also provides a path to follow-on funding and market support through the Ethis Group ecosystem and its global partners.
