So far, several artificial intelligence (AI) models and chatbots have been developed by Western countries and China. This has raised issues when the answers given contradict local religious beliefs and cultures. Yesterday, HUMAIN, an AI company owned by Saudi Arabia, launched HUMAIN Chat, which they say is the most advanced Arabic chatbot ever developed.
HUMAIN Chat uses the ALLAM 34B model, which is the most advanced Arabic language model (LLM) to date. It not only understands Arabic but also understands Islamic culture, values and heritage. At the time, HUMAIN Chat can only be accessed by users in Saudi Arabia with plans to offer it to more than 400 million Arabic users worldwide. Another ability is to understand Egyptian and Lebanese dialects.
Another ability of HUMAIN Chat is to perform web searches for the latest information. It can understand Arabic and English conversations simultaneously and meet the content permitted by the Saudi Arabian government with the browser placed entirely within the country.
