Malaysia Aims to Become a Global-Class Cloud Computing Hub by 2030

Malaysia today launched the National Cloud Computing Policy (NCCP), in an effort to develop a healthy, secure, sovereign, inclusive and sustainable digital ecosystem. This new policy involves collaboration between all parties, including cloud service providers, government agencies, the private sector, academics and the public.

Through this policy, it covers a number of things, including a comprehensive direction in the use of cloud technology at all levels. This is also in an effort to make Malaysia a global-class cloud computing hub by 2030. A total of five pillars are focused through this policy, including Cloud Sector Transformation, Fostering Private Sector Growth, Secure Data Protection and Privacy, Digital Inclusion, and Environmental Sustainability.

This policy is also designed with flexibility, allowing for adaptation to technological changes and new challenges in the cloud computing landscape. For those of you who are interested or involved in this arena, you can access this National Cloud Computing Policy through the official website of the Ministry of Digital.
