Nearly 6 Million Switch 2s Sold So Far

A month after its launch, Nintendo announced that 5.85 million Switch 2 consoles had been sold by the end of June. This once again makes it the fastest-selling console in Nintendo's history. It sold more than twice as many units as the original Switch, which sold 2.7 million units in a month.

In its financial report released last week, Nintendo said demand is still outstripping supply in several markets. In response, Nintendo has set a target of selling 15 million Switch 2s by the end of March 2026.

The Nintendo Switch 2 comes with a 7.9″ LCD screen with 1080p 120Hz resolution, powered by a custom NVIDIA chip that supports DLSS and Ray Tracing, 256GB of storage, and a dock that can upscale the display to 4K resolution when connected to a TV. Another improvement is the Joy Con that connects using magnets and can be used like a mouse.

In Malaysia, Switch 2 is officially sold since July 3 at a price of RM2488 for a set of consoles and RM2688 for a bundle of consoles with one Mario Kart World game.
