Today, there are various polytechnics with different focus areas in producing new talents who are experts in a particular field. Not only that, now it is shared that a new polytechnic is expected to operate by 2027, focusing on the field of artificial intelligence.
Currently, the polytechnic is in the planning phase, including involving its curriculum, staffing and infrastructure. It is expected to be fully completed in about a year or two, before the polytechnic is fully operational.
The polytechnic will operate in Lumut, Perak, and offer a number of programs including Certificates and Diplomas in Artificial Intelligence that cover various subjects involving the technology field. The introduction of polytechnics with an artificial intelligence focus is also seen as one of the initiatives under the 13th RMK in continuing to strengthen the TVET arena.
