Samsung and Oppo Expected to Use Sony's Latest 200MP Camera in Upcoming Flagship Models

Sony is reportedly developing a new camera sensor with a 200MP resolution that could potentially be used in future flagship smartphones from Samsung and Oppo.

According to initial reports, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra may be equipped with a 1/1.1″ sensor and an f/1.4 aperture that can improve photography performance in low light conditions. Although the previous model, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, is already equipped with a 200MP camera, the use of this new sensor is expected to bring improvements in terms of image quality and video recording capabilities.

Meanwhile, Oppo is also not left behind when the Oppo Find X9 Ultra is rumored to come with a quad-camera system that includes a 200MP main sensor and three additional 50MP sensors. This is a significant improvement compared to the Find X8 Ultra model which uses a 1″ 50MP main camera. Oppo may also collaborate with Hasselblad to offer a special photography kit on this new model.

For now, this information has not been officially confirmed. So it would be best if users wait for further announcements from Oppo and Samsung themselves.
