TV panel technology has advanced further this morning after Samsung launched the world's first Micro RGB TV. With Micro RGB technology, red, green and blue LEDs measuring less than 100µm are arranged on the screen. This allows for more precise lighting and color control.
The 115-inch TV is capable of displaying 100% of the colors according to the BT.2020 standard issued by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). To prevent glare, the screen layer uses Glare Free technology used on previous Samsung smart TVs. The Bixby virtual assistant can also be used with the Tizen OS operating system, which will receive updates for 7 years.
Samsung's Micro RGB technology can reduce reflections, look uniform in bright environments and still maintain a slim TV design. The Samsung Micro RGB TV will be offered in South Korea first before going to the United States and global markets.
