This is How to Transfer Spotify Playlists to Other Streaming Platforms

On social media today, many Spotify customers are determined to cancel their subscriptions as a sign of protest against their action of increasing the price of Premium subscriptions. In Malaysia, the new Premium subscription prices are as follows.

Spotify Premium Individual – RM17.50 per month

Spotify Premium Student – RM9.50 per month

Spotify Premium Family – RM27.90 per month

Spotify Premium Duo – RM24.50 per month

But the process of canceling this subscription comes with a problem because after years of using Spotify, customers must have hundreds of favorite songs as well as personal playlists created by themselves. The good news for you is that there are various services that help transfer Spotify playlists to other streaming platforms.

I myself migrated to YouTube Music three years ago and used Tune My Music to transfer all playlists from Spotify to YouTube Music. I chose Tune My Music because it is easy, supports export to various other services and can be used for free if your list is not that long. For lists of more than 500 songs, you have to pay but I think it is worth it if you are determined to leave Spotify forever.

Go to tunemymusic.com/

Select Spotify as the source platform for the playlist you want to export.

Log in to your Spotify account and follow the instructions.

Select “Load from your Spotify account” or enter the URL open.spotify.com/collection/tracks if you only want to export the Liked Songs list

Select the songs you want to transfer. 500 songs can be transferred simultaneously if you use a free account.

If there are more than 500 songs, you only need to pay $7.5 for the limited song export service.

After the songs are selected, press the Select Destination button to export them to another streaming platform. In this tutorial, I chose YouTube Music

The transfer process will take a few minutes depending on the number of songs you want to transfer

Tune My Music will indicate the number of songs that have not been transferred with the option to pay to complete the transfer process.

Songs that cannot be transferred will be displayed by Tune My Music after the migration process is complete.

Open the transferred playlist application and see the songs that have been successfully transferred.

Although Tune My Music is a good service, there are still some issues when transferring songs. What I noticed is that some songs are said to not be offered on Apple Music after the playlist transfer is done. The same issue does not exist when the playlist is transferred to YouTube Music.

Hopefully this tutorial can help those who want to migrate from one music streaming platform to another different music streaming platform. Once again I remind you that you can use Tune My Music to transfer playlists from other streaming platforms and is not limited to Spotify. I have yet to find a reliable free transfer service because I do not want to be responsible for the liability of stolen data. Good luck.
