Threads is testing a new feature that aims to make it easier for users to share threads in a more organized way. With this update, each post will come with an automatic numbering function that shows the total number of posts and their position in the thread.
With this feature, users will no longer have to manually type things like “1/3” or “2/3” because the system will automatically add them at the end of each post. This numbering will also be updated periodically if users add or remove posts in the same thread, making it easier to use.
Although this feature is not yet available to all users, Threads confirmed that it is currently in the testing phase involving a select group of users. It may be a small addition in terms of functionality but it can actually help improve the user experience. It includes making it easier to read and understand the context of a shared post.
